HSE University Wins RAEX Rating Agency Award for Contribution to Sustainable Development of Russian Universities
HSE University was awarded with a diploma for its contribution to sustainable development in the higher education system in Russia at the ’Universities and Sustainable Development’ conference, which took place on 7th of December. The conference organized by RAEX Rating Agency was devoted to determination of sustainable development objectives and methods of evaluation for universities, while replication of best practices was also discussed.
The participants of the conference discussed key approaches to methodology of evaluation of universities’ achievements in the field of sustainable development. The report exploring sustainable development and ESG practices in Russian universities was presented and discussed.
Anna Veselova, the Director of Centre for Corporate Sustainability Management (ESG Centre) of the HSE Graduate School of Business, presented her vision of integration of sustainability issues into educational progrsammes, challenges while implementing sustainability strategies, and features of ESG education in Russian institutions.
Summarizing her presentation, Anna Veselova emphasized that HSE Graduate School of Business aims to develop competences necessary for successful transition to economy based on sustainable development principles, preparing new leaders for such transition.
