The XII Russian-Chinese Summer School on International Relations has opened at HSE University. This year’s theme is ‘Facets of the World Majority: Practice and Narratives.’ The school has brought together 27 master's and doctoral students as well as early-career researchers from leading universities in China and Russia.

The first HSE University satellite has completed its work in orbit after more than 35,000 hours of trouble-free operation, one billion kilometres travelled (24,600 orbits around the Earth), and hundreds of full-frame shots taken of the Earth's surface across an area of 320,000 km2. On May 29, 2025, a delegation from Sultan Qaboos University paid an official visit to HSE University. The meeting was held at the HSE building on Pokrovsky Bulvar and was dedicated to the development of partnership in science and education. The final of the Russian Competitive Programming Cup in the Algorithmic Programming discipline has taken place. Seven students and one lecturer from the HSE Faculty of Computer Science took part in the event. Bachelor’s students from the Applied Mathematics and Information Science programme claimed the top three places.
HSE University-St Petersburg hosted an open lesson on the Vietnamese language for students of 'Asian and African Studies' in the framework of the International Partners' Week and the V Festival of the Vietnamese language.
The 5th Open Mathematical Olympiad for University Students (OMOUS-2025) took place in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, attracting teams from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Iran, Romania, Poland, the United Arab Emirates, Russia, and India. In total, around 500 students took part in the event.
The X5 Tech Sprint is a championship in algorithmic programming. A total of 808 school pupils and university students from over 200 educational institutions across Moscow took part. HSE ranked first among universities in the overall participant leaderboard, and a student from the Faculty of Computer Science (FCS) achieved the best individual result.
