On November 8, HSE University hosted the Republic of Scientists Festival for the seventh time. The event aims to remind students that science is multifaceted and universal, to showcase areas of knowledge beyond their educational curriculum, and to connect early-career scientists with one another. Guests of the festival enjoyed interactive activities, popular science lectures by university faculty and alumni, and the grand finale of Season VII of Science Battles.

On April 14–19, 2024, two finals of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) took place in Luxor (Egypt). The teams from HSE University’s Faculty of Computer Science became world champions in the 47th ICPC final and received gold medals in the 46th final.
HSE Rector Nikita Anisimov has congratulated university students, teachers, and staff on the upcoming New Year. ‘May each and every one of you spend these festive days in a heartwarming atmosphere, rejuvenating and reuniting with your families. I hope that the upcoming 2024 is filled with positive events in your lives, studies, and careers,’ he said.
On September 5th, which is the International Day of Charity, the Service Learning programme was launched at many of the country’s universities. HSE University hosted a meeting with deputy deans and faculty project managers, followed by a large NGO fair, where both students and HSE University staff got to know more about partner NGOs and planned further joint projects.
