The HSE Graduate School of Business has reaffirmed its status as the leader of Russian business education. For the second year in a row, HSE GSB has topped the National Ranking of Business Schools in the country, demonstrating consistently strong results across key learning indicators.

HSE University has launched a few strategic technological projects aimed at achieving the institution’s target development model. These projects focus on creating a portfolio of innovative products and services that fall under three key areas: socio-economic, science, and technology foresight, as well as 6G communication technologies and artificial intelligence.

The HSE Graduate School of Business has received international accreditation to deliver the Project Management course in accordance with the IPMA ICB 4.0 global standard.

The Graduate School of Business at HSE University and Alfa-Bank have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at developing educational programs in the field of business informatics.

In March 2025, HSE Days took place in the Ghanaian capital of Accra, the cultural hub of Kumasi, and the Bono East region. Representatives of the university awarded participants of the HSE International Olympiad (HSE INTO 2025) and spoke to local school pupils and university students about educational opportunities, scholarship programmes, and application pathways to HSE University.

HSE University and the Russian House in Indonesia have held the first offline INTO HSE olympiad in Jakarta. It is a new, free event in English for international school students.

In 2025, HSE University-St Petersburg opened the Centre for Russian Language and Culture at the School of Arts and Humanities. The centre offers various courses for international applicants, the largest of which is the 'Pre-University Programme', a Russian preparatory course for those intending to enrol in full-time bachelor's and master's programmes. In autumn of 2024, a delegation from Malaysia, led by Minister of Higher Education Zambry bin Abdul Kadir, visited the HSE campus in St Petersburg. One of the key topics of discussion was the initial results of the mirror laboratory, a joint initiative between HSE University-St Petersburg and the University of Technology Malaysia (UTM).

The second GameDevFest, a festival for computer game developers organised by the HSE Faculty of Computer Science (FCS), took place at the Pokrovka campus. Student developers showcased demo versions of their games, while guests and organisers discussed the state of the industry, opportunities for gamification, and game development education.

HSE University is launching a joint undergraduate programme, ‘Bachelor of Arts in Russian Language,’ in partnership with Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities in Abu Dhabi. This is the first Russian language programme approved by the UAE Ministry of Education.
