HSE University will showcase cutting-edge innovations and educational opportunities at the anniversary edition of VK Fest 2025, Russia’s largest youth festival. For nearly two decades, HSE University’s international recruitment programmes have brought highly qualified professionals from the global academic job market to Russia—from recent PhD graduates of leading universities to experienced international scholars. On September 1, 2025, the university expects 50 new international faculty and researchers to join its academic team.

A new expedition season has begun as part of the Rediscovering Russia project. Students from all degree programmes, disciplines, and campuses of HSE University are eligible to take part. On March 27, 2025, HSE University hosted a hybrid-format conference marking the completion of efforts to establish the International Movement on Financial Security. During the meeting, the charter and roadmap were adopted, and the presidium was elected.

In April, HSE University will host Days of Computer Science (DCS), an annual event organised by the Faculty of Computer Science and its partners. The programme includes popular science lectures and discussions, a student festival, a maths blitz competition, quizzes, film screenings, and much more.

In 2025, HSE University-St Petersburg opened the Centre for Russian Language and Culture at the School of Arts and Humanities. The centre offers various courses for international applicants, the largest of which is the 'Pre-University Programme', a Russian preparatory course for those intending to enrol in full-time bachelor's and master's programmes. Experts from Russia and China will discuss new challenges and opportunities for business cooperation between the two countries, including those using advanced digital technologies. The event will take place on September 28 at the HSE building on Pokrovsky Bulvar. The forum is expected to be held annually.
